Reading

Rockstar, the developer of Grand Theft Auto 6, has shown a 26-minute preview. It debuted on Netflix six hours before YouTube, after a week of leaks. The montage showed improved graphics, fast car chases and heists, and highly detailed environments.

The story follows two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Camino. Players will be switching between them at different moments. The game is set in Leonida, a fictional US state inspired by Florida, with apartments, rooftop bars and nightclubs on display. Viewers praised the photorealistic faces and varied crowds.

Rockstar says the game will be a single-player experience at launch, and it gave no details on any online mode. The launch on 19 November is expected to be huge. Two official trailers have almost 500 million views. Next month Rockstar is due at a tribunal in Scotland over claims about firing workers, which it strongly denies.
